History
Coast to Country Housing Company Commenced Operation in 2011. It was formerly known as Community Rent Scheme Association Townsville which commenced operation in 1991. Even After the change From Association to Company the core values of the Organisation still stand strong from 1991 which is to provide housing to people on low incomes and in immediate and severe housing need. The Company has grown from managing 68 properties under Community Rent Scheme Association Townsville Inc to its current portfolio of 304 properties with an additional 84 properties currently under construction to be managed by the organisation.
The Company's strength is its capacity to manage multiple programs. Coast to Country Housing Company has grown from managing one program in 1991 under Community Rent Scheme Association Townsville Inc, to its current portfolio of managing eleven different programs. These include:

Location & Geographical Area
The Company is located in the centre of Townsville and manages the majority of its properties and programs within the Townsville local government area. The Company also manages a small number of tenancies in the Hinchinbrook Shire and Burdekin Shire, however has the potential to manage properties in other surrounding areas e.g. Charters Towers Regional Council area

Governance
The Company is a not-for-profit community based organisation and is managed by a volunteer board of Directors. Members from the community are appointed annually at the Annual General Meeting. The current structure includes:
