For some people and families doing it tough, finding a place to call home can be difficult. Coast to Country offers housing assistance services to people in need, so they still have a place to come home to every day.
Coast to Country works with eligible people to find a property that meets their needs. Our experienced team of Housing Specialists help people and families in our community secure long term housing that lasts.
We’ll be there with you throughout your housing journey. That means you can come to us for support and assistance with any tenancy related matters, like rent payments and repairs or maintenance. C2C can link you with support for any other issues you might have that might affect your housing, such as financial support, counselling, as well as home, family and life skills development.
Our programs subsidise rental costs, so you can find a home that fits your budget . Your rent will be determined based on your income, so your new home will be affordable.

Before coming to C2C, I had to leave the family home and didn’t want to go to a refuge – I had been to a refuge before and it was awful. I’ve lived in 3 units with C2C, and the one I am in now is long term. When I first came to C2C, they were extremely helpful, and went above and beyond. The staff were also someone I could talk to; they listened to my concerns and were comforting. I started with nothing, so gathering bits and bobs along the way is what has made my unit a home for me. The number one thing that has changed since having a home of my own is knowing that I’m safe. I know I can talk to someone at C2C if I’m having problems and if there are maintenance issues they will be fixed. For me, it comes down to safety. I’m so grateful for everything C2C has done to help me and others.
Being homeless was scary; I didn’t feel safe and didn’t know who to trust. It was a bad time for me. My home now is somewhere I can keep all of my stuff. I also love spending time with friends, and I can do that at home now too. It gets a bit hot in summer, but I have a roof over my head and somewhere I feel safe. I’m more secure now than ever, and glad I’m not on the streets any more.
